The role available at SRI Management is designed to enhance and improve the Artful Dining experience for all patrons. Operating under general supervision, this position plays a critical part in assisting with food preparation and service, ensuring that dining operations run smoothly and efficiently. The job involves a variety of responsibilities including helping with menu-based food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, serving meals, and providing attentive assistance to residents during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The individual in this position will continuously ensure that the dining environment is not only clean and safe but also dignified, respectful, and welcoming at all times. Furthermore, the position demands effective communication skills, sensitivity towards the residents' needs, and an understanding of emergency procedures and HIPAA regulations to protect privacy. Physical requirements include standing and walking for extended periods, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and readiness to perform kitchen and dining area cleaning duties daily.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Less than one year related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to stand and walk regularly
  • Ability to use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
  • Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Occasionally sitting, climbing, or balancing
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to follow sanitation and safety procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively in language understood by residents
  • Ability to observe and report safety hazards
  • Ability to comply with HIPAA regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables

Job Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of food according to the established menu
  • Follow departmental procedures including sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules
  • Follow proper cleaning procedures when washing and storing all dishes
  • Serve and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily
  • Clean kitchen, food service equipment, and food storage areas daily
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents
  • Perform daily general cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining room per schedule
