The position available is for a full-time Culinary Arts Teacher at EVIT's 1601 W. Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85201 campus. Scheduled on a 10-month calendar with school breaks and summer breaks off, this role provides a competitive salary range between $50,651.00 and $84,636.00. Placement within this range is dependent upon the candidates’ education, professional culinary experience, teaching background, and relevant certifications. Under general supervision, the Culinary Arts Teacher will be responsible for instructing high school students through immersive, hands-on culinary training. This role plays a crucial part in guiding students to develop foundational skills necessary for successful careers in the food service and hospitality industries. The teacher will facilitate learning by blending practical kitchen experiences with theoretical instruction, aiming to prepare students for both immediate workforce entry and continued education. As part of the teaching staff, the Culinary Arts Teacher will also contribute to the development of curricula and maintain a safe and productive classroom environment. Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain an Arizona Department of Education Career and Technical Education (CTE) Certification in Family and Consumer Science
- minimum of three years experience in the culinary field
- possession of a Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957
