Job Requirements

  • Possession of food safety manager certification
  • valid California motor vehicle operator's license may be required
  • fingerprint clearance by FBI and California DOJ
  • verification of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training within six weeks of hire
  • availability during probationary period of six months or 130 days
  • proof of automobile insurance if applicable
  • commitment to nondiscriminatory practices

  • Certification in food safety management
  • experience in recipe development
  • knowledge of nutrition and food safety
  • culinary training or education
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • strong communication skills
  • experience with catering services

Job Duties

  • Provide new recipe development training and execution
  • support execution of existing recipes for all menus
  • assist in all aspects of catering services
  • contribute to staff meal program execution
  • ensure compliance with food safety standards
  • collaborate with nutrition services team
  • maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
