Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or above
  • Five years of full time work experience within the past eight years
  • Serve-Safe certification or equivalent food safety certification
  • Occupational teaching license with endorsement in Culinary Arts
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or above
  • Five years of full time work experience out of the past eight years
  • Experience as pastry chef head chef caterer personal chef restaurant manager or executive chef
  • Certification in Serve-Safe or National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or Certified Culinary Chef Educator (CCE)
  • Occupational teaching license with the endorsement (730) Culinary Arts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent planning organizational problem-solving decision-making and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Plan deliver and assess effective instruction that is tightly aligned with State standards
  • Design lessons based on best practices with clear learning targets and measurable goals aligned with State standards and or unit outcomes
  • Frequently plan collaboratively with colleagues
  • Convey high expectations while using multiple effective strategies materials and classroom practices that involve and motivate students while differentiating instruction to meet students’ needs
  • Use colleagues and own self-reflection on instructional practice to continually improve instruction
  • Foster a well-structured and engaging learning environment by utilizing effective classroom procedures and routines while showing caring respect and fairness for all students
  • Consistently develop strong relationships with students’ families while diligently informing parents of expectations positive news and or concerns about their children
  • Provide opportunities for parents to be involved in their children’s learning
  • Actively seek out opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders in order to improve teaching and learning
  • Reflect on own instruction and leadership while contributing ideas expertise and time to the mission and goals of the school
