Job Requirements
- High school diploma or above
- Five years of full time work experience within the past eight years
- Serve-Safe certification or equivalent food safety certification
- Occupational teaching license with endorsement in Culinary Arts
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or above
- Five years of full time work experience out of the past eight years
- Experience as pastry chef head chef caterer personal chef restaurant manager or executive chef
- Certification in Serve-Safe or National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or Certified Culinary Chef Educator (CCE)
- Occupational teaching license with the endorsement (730) Culinary Arts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent planning organizational problem-solving decision-making and time management skills
Job Duties
- Plan deliver and assess effective instruction that is tightly aligned with State standards
- Design lessons based on best practices with clear learning targets and measurable goals aligned with State standards and or unit outcomes
- Frequently plan collaboratively with colleagues
- Convey high expectations while using multiple effective strategies materials and classroom practices that involve and motivate students while differentiating instruction to meet students’ needs
- Use colleagues and own self-reflection on instructional practice to continually improve instruction
- Foster a well-structured and engaging learning environment by utilizing effective classroom procedures and routines while showing caring respect and fairness for all students
- Consistently develop strong relationships with students’ families while diligently informing parents of expectations positive news and or concerns about their children
- Provide opportunities for parents to be involved in their children’s learning
- Actively seek out opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders in order to improve teaching and learning
- Reflect on own instruction and leadership while contributing ideas expertise and time to the mission and goals of the school
