Job Requirements

  • Associate Degree or higher in radiologic technology or related field
  • valid Radiologic Technologist (RT) license
  • ARRT-CT certification
  • ARRT-R certification
  • basic cardiac life support certification
  • ability to maintain compliance with radiation safety standards
  • strong attention to detail and patient care
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends if required

Job Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • registered Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer (RT) credential
  • Certified in Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT)
  • certified in Radiography (ARRT-R)
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field

Job Duties

  • Maintains departmental compliance logs
  • participates in performance improvement processes
  • obtains quality diagnostic images according to protocol
  • ensures all exam orders have the required five elements
  • scans in and labels documents appropriately in PACS, resolves QA issues in a timely manner and releases images to radiologists promptly
  • verifies order validity and accuracy in RIS, ensures ordering physician is correct, completes exams with accurate information and documents pertinent details
  • participates in departmental accreditation processes and quality assurance
  • transports patients as necessary
  • follows all radiation protection and dose reporting policies and processes
  • ensures venipuncture is performed following infection control processes and administers medication to appropriate patients
