The Event Services Staff position at MECA plays an essential role in enhancing guest satisfaction by providing direct assistance during events hosted at MECA-managed facilities. This role is pivotal in creating positive first impressions when guests arrive, guiding them through the venue's layout, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the event. Event Services Staff members must possess thorough knowledge of the facility layouts and policies to efficiently assist guests and enforce necessary regulations. This employment opportunity is on an intermittent basis, varying according to the event schedule, and requires flexibility including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

As an Event Services Staff member, responsibilities include supervising crowd movement, ensuring orderly conduct, and facilitating smooth ingress and egress within event venues. This position also doubles as a security role responsible for notifying authorities in case of emergencies. Proficiency in ticket verification methods such as identifying counterfeit tickets and using ticket scanning equipment is crucial. Additionally, staff may assist in operating elevators, overseeing premium seating areas, and maintaining cleanliness and safety of seating sections during and after events. These multifaceted duties require strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to manage stressful or fast-paced environments tactfully.
