Job Description

This job opportunity is offered by an independently owned and operated McDonald’s franchise restaurant. Unlike McDonald’s USA, which is the brand owner, the franchisee is a separate business entity responsible for employment decisions and local operations. The franchisee holds a license to use McDonald’s iconic logos, food products, and systems but manages staffing, hiring, firing, scheduling, and employee supervision independently. This distinction means that if hired, the franchisee—not McDonald’s USA—will be your employer, responsible for all employment-related matters at this location.

McDonald's is one of the world's most recognized fast-food restaurant chains, with a reputation for delivering quality, service, and cleanliness consistently across the globe. The franchisee’s restaurant carries on this tradition by offering customers the full McDonald's experience, from the famous menu items to the consistent customer service that patrons expect. The restaurant focuses on providing a friendly, fast-paced, team-oriented environment where employees have the opportunity to develop valuable skills and careers.

The role being offered is for a Crew Team Member, a foundational position within the restaurant team that plays a critical part in ensuring every guest has a positive dining experience. As a Crew Team Member at this franchise restaurant, you will engage directly with customers, assist them in ordering their meals, prepare McDonald’s world-famous food, and help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant. The position is more than a simple part-time job; it provides employees with a pathway to personal and professional growth, offering access to top-tier training programs and educational opportunities.

McDonald’s and its independent franchisees are committed to the development of their people through programs like Archways to Opportunity. This initiative supports life-long learning with high school completion courses, college tuition assistance, and English language classes for eligible employees. With over 80 percent of employees expressing pride in their McDonald’s work experience and willingness to recommend it to others, a Crew Team Member role is seen as a gateway to building essential life skills including customer service, teamwork, reliability, and time management.

The franchisee is committed to becoming America’s Best First Job by providing a supportive work environment and numerous opportunities for advancement within the McDonald’s system or beyond. Whether seeking a flexible part-time job to complement school or another job, or a full-time position, this role adapts to meet your scheduling needs. The minimum age is 16, making it an ideal entry-level position for teenagers and young adults eager to join the workforce.

Safety and health remain a top priority. The franchisee follows CDC guidelines and local government regulations for cleanliness and safety protocols, including deep cleaning procedures and policies that encourage employees to stay home if unwell. This attention to health ensures a safe working environment for all team members and patrons.

Joining the McDonald’s franchise team offers much more than paycheck. It’s a chance to develop skills that transfer across careers, learn the fundamentals of the hospitality and food service industry, and work alongside a team that values collaboration and fun. The franchisee encourages all qualified candidates to apply and welcomes diversity, emphasizing an equal employment opportunity policy that prohibits discrimination on the basis of any legally protected status.
