Job Description
This job posting is for a position at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's logos and food products. It is important to understand that this franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald's USA. If you are hired for this position, your employer will be the franchisee, not McDonald's USA, which assumes no responsibility for employment decisions or operations at this location, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. This distinction is crucial for applicants to recognize before applying.
McDonald's is one of the world's leading quick-service restaurant chains, known for offering quality food and consistent customer service. The franchisee who owns and manages the restaurant where this role exists is committed to maintaining these standards by providing employees with an environment focused on growth, learning, and opportunity. McDonald's and its franchisees invest in their teams by offering industry-leading education programs and world-class training, enabling crew members to gain valuable life skills and professional experience. Their Archways to Opportunity programs further support employees by offering high school completion courses, upfront college tuition assistance, and English language classes.
This role is for a Crew Team Member who plays a vital part in the daily operations of the restaurant. This position provides a flexible part-time opportunity for individuals who are seeking a job that supports their broader personal or career ambitions. Job shifts cover various times such as breakfast, lunch, late night, or weekends. The starting pay is $16.50 per hour, with the possibility of earning up to $17.50 per hour. Although there are currently no promotions or transfers to other locations available, working in this role equips individuals with skills useful for future job prospects within or beyond McDonald's.
A career as a McDonald's Crew Team Member is much more than a paycheck; it is an opportunity to grow as an individual. Crew members contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring the restaurant is clean, assisting guests with their orders, preparing and serving food that McDonald's is famous for, and collaborating with fellow team members and management to meet daily goals while fostering a productive work atmosphere. The position requires an outstanding attitude, a willingness to learn and grow, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, all of which the company helps develop through training.
Applicants must be 16 years or older to be eligible for this position. The work includes a wide variety of responsibilities ranging from maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant (e.g., sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, equipment, and seating areas), to supporting merchandising efforts (e.g., setting up advertising displays), handling waste management, stocking food and supplies, all food preparation tasks including frying, grilling, baking, and assembling meals, preparing beverages, assisting customers with technology like kiosks, taking orders and processing payments at the counter or Drive-Thru, serving food and drinks, and adhering to rigorous food safety standards. This variety ensures that employees gain well-rounded experience in the hospitality industry.
In summary, this McDonald's Crew Team Member role provides an inclusive, supportive, and educational work environment designed for individuals wanting part-time employment that fits their lifestyle and ambitions. While this opportunity is provided by an independent franchisee, employees benefit from the globally recognized brand's values and development programs, making it a great entry point into the workforce or a valuable stepping stone for future career growth.
