Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to constant change
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and union groups
  • Ability to review policies and procedures and recommend changes
  • Ability to review work product and recommend improvements
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Ability to manually complete duties during computer outages
  • Ability to memorize computer entry codes and city codes
  • Ability to understand 24-hour clock and worldwide time zones
  • Ability to comprehend flight attendant or pilot labor agreements
  • Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work overtime as required, sometimes with little or no advance notice

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Crew schedule experience
  • Knowledge in operations
  • SABRE/DECS experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in decisions
  • Flexibility to adapt to constant change
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and union groups
  • Capability to review and recommend changes in policies and procedures
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manually complete duties during computer outages
  • Knowledge of 24-hour clock and worldwide time zones
  • Ability to comprehend flight attendant or pilot labor agreements
  • Willingness to work shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to work overtime with little or no notice

Job Duties

  • Ensures a complete crew complement on every American Airlines flight while meeting contractual and company service requirements
  • Schedules, reschedules, and reassigns flight crews to trips allocated to their particular base
  • Monitors flight attendants' monthly activity records and legal compliance
  • Exercises sound judgment in decision-making based on reviewed information
  • Adapts to constant operational changes and manages multiple tasks concurrently
  • Reviews policies and procedures to recommend improvements
  • Works shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
