Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a pioneering restaurant company known for cultivating a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food using wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded with the mission to offer better food fast, Chipotle has revolutionized the typical fast-food experience by maintaining high standards for quality and sustainability in every aspect of its operations. With locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle stands out as the only restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, reflecting its commitment to consistent quality and customer experience.
At Chipotle, the employment experience is much more than just a job. Many employees begin their journey expecting a paycheck but quickly find a rewarding career path supported by exceptional training and advancement opportunities. Over 80% of Chipotle's managers have risen through the ranks, starting from crew positions, which underscores the company’s dedication to staff development and internal promotion. The company prides itself on preparing real food by hand every day, eschewing freezers, microwaves, and can openers. This authentic approach to food preparation requires a team of passionate and dedicated individuals to uphold the standards that customers expect and enjoy.
The Crew Member role at Chipotle offers an entry point into this dynamic, people-centered environment. Crew Members receive thorough training across multiple stations, including grill, cashier, prep, salsa, and expo, enabling them to gain diverse skills and experience. This role is perfect for individuals with varied or no previous food service experience, including those who have worked as dishwashers, servers, hosts, bartenders, cooks, or even those new to the workforce. Chipotle fosters a supportive atmosphere where enthusiasm, friendliness, and a passion for serving others are highly valued.
Chipotle values its team members and offers an array of benefits that make it not only a workplace but a place to grow professionally and personally. Some of the most notable benefits include full tuition assistance covering 100% for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free meals during shifts, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options, digital tips, paid time off, holiday closures, competitive compensation, and flexible full-time and part-time work opportunities. The unequivocal commitment to providing a respectful, inclusive workplace aligns with Chipotle’s leadership in digital innovation, technology integration, and sustainable business practices.
Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a brand committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. It’s a company where every employee’s contribution is valued, and career growth is actively encouraged. If you bring a friendly, enthusiastic attitude, a passion for helping both customers and team members, a strong desire to learn how to cook, and meet the minimum age requirement, you will find Chipotle to be a welcoming place to build your career.
