Job Requirements
- No prior experience or training required
- must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- must have the ability to write simple correspondence
- must present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- must be able to perform basic math operations with money and weight, volume, and distance measurements
- must have common sense and the ability to carry out simple instructions
- must manage standardized situations with minimal variables
- must have Crew Leader Certification
- must have Shift Supervisor Certification
- must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
- must be exposed to high heat and cooking oils typical of fast food environments
- must be 16 years or older with exceptions authorized by VPO and HR
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred but not required
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- ability to write simple correspondence
- effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations
- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to work with units of American money and measurement
- common sense to carry out simple instructions
- ability to handle standardized situations
- certification as a crew leader preferred
- certification as a shift supervisor preferred
Job Duties
- Greets the customer
- suggestive sale and answer questions about products
- records the customer’s order
- stages customers in serpentine area to maintain a smooth customer flow
- selects requested food items from serving or storage areas and assembles items on serving tray or in takeout bag
- serves cold drinks, hot beverages, and desserts
- receives payment
- assists customers with questions or complaints
- retrieves raw food stock and places at appropriate station for preparation
- performs duties to prepare food
- maintains orderly eating and serving areas
- ensures that he or she follows all company issued policies and procedures
