Job Requirements

No prior experience or training required
must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
must have the ability to write simple correspondence
must present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
must be able to perform basic math operations with money and weight, volume, and distance measurements
must have common sense and the ability to carry out simple instructions
must manage standardized situations with minimal variables
must have Crew Leader Certification
must have Shift Supervisor Certification
must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
must be exposed to high heat and cooking oils typical of fast food environments
must be 16 years or older with exceptions authorized by VPO and HR

Job Qualifications

High school diploma preferred but not required
ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
ability to write simple correspondence
effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations
basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
ability to work with units of American money and measurement
common sense to carry out simple instructions
ability to handle standardized situations
certification as a crew leader preferred
certification as a shift supervisor preferred

Job Duties

Greets the customer
suggestive sale and answer questions about products
records the customer’s order
stages customers in serpentine area to maintain a smooth customer flow
selects requested food items from serving or storage areas and assembles items on serving tray or in takeout bag
serves cold drinks, hot beverages, and desserts
receives payment
assists customers with questions or complaints
retrieves raw food stock and places at appropriate station for preparation
performs duties to prepare food
maintains orderly eating and serving areas
ensures that he or she follows all company issued policies and procedures
