The role of Crew Member at Momiji is dynamic and multifaceted, catering to various station responsibilities that include front-of-house and back-of-house tasks. Crew Members prepare ingredients, follow recipes for consistency and quality, garnish dishes, take orders, and ensure that patrons receive a high level of service throughout their dining experience. Whether working at server stations, cooking stations, or assisting the sushi chef, Crew Members play an integral part in maintaining the restaurant’s operational excellence. They are responsible for welcoming guests, explaining menu options, taking accurate orders, addressing customer needs during meals, and ensuring that food service adheres to sanitation and safety standards. Crew Members also handle equipment operation such as POS systems and kitchen appliances, maintain cleanliness in both the dining and kitchen areas, and assist in stocking and inventory management. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- ability to stand and walk throughout entire shifts
- ability to lift, carry, and carry trays up to 50 lbs
- capable of balancing serving trays and distributing food
- ability to bend, stoop, and reach while carrying items
- comfortable working around kitchen heat, steam, and cold
- manual dexterity for cutting and chopping
- reliable attendance
- must adhere to all health and safety regulations
- ability to operate POS and electronic devices
- must hold a valid driver’s license
- ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends

Job Duties
- Greets and seats customers
- accurately takes orders
- answers questions about the menu and makes recommendations
- communicates orders and special instructions to kitchen staff
- follows OLCC guidelines for alcohol orders and service
- answers the phone and takes orders
- ensures orders are filled quickly and accurately
- provides attentive service and checks on guests during meals
- addresses customer service issues promptly
- performs cleaning and sanitation duties
- processes customer payments using POS systems
- completes side prep work like cutting cucumbers and refilling condiments
- packs to-go orders
- operates kitchen equipment to prepare and cook food following recipes and safety standards
- ensures ingredients and final dishes are fresh and properly presented
- maintains a clean and safe work environment
- assists in stocking and ordering ingredients
- reports issues with kitchen equipment
- handles ingredient storage properly
- adheres to food and safety sanitation policies
- labels and stocks ingredients
- washes and chops produce
- washes dishes and kitchenware
- operates fryer following safety and sanitation procedures
- assists the sushi chef as needed
- cleans restaurant and performs other duties as assigned
