Job Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in food service or retail
  • ability to communicate clearly in English
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to operate cash register
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in food service or retail
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • capable of basic math operations for cash handling
  • proficiency in operating a cash register
  • problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • preferred possession of a NYC Food Handlers License
  • customer service experience
  • ability to handle busy, fast-paced environments

Job Duties

  • Offers friendly service to all guests
  • takes customer orders, maintains fast, accurate service, and positive guest relations
  • operates grill and sandwich maker in an efficient and safe manner
  • ensures company standards on equipment, facility, and grounds are maintained
  • ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction
  • maintains the restaurant with regards to cleanliness, neatness and customer accessibility
  • uses the company cash register accurately and maintains proper control of company assets
  • works as a team member to support other restaurant employees in their duties
  • receives payments by cash, credit or debit cards, and gift cards
  • issues receipts, refunds, or change due
  • assists customers by providing menu information and resolving their complaints or concerns
  • readily identifies prices of menu items and calculate bill using POS
  • enthusiastically greets customers entering restaurant
  • answers customers' questions and provides information of the store's policies and relevant procedures regarding the preparation or cooking process
  • maintains a clean and orderly register area
  • mixes milkshakes and other beverages as necessary
