Job Description
This opportunity is presented by a distinguished design-driven event studio based in Los Angeles, renowned for creating luxurious and innovative floral environments. The studio carves a unique niche at the crossroads of floral design, interior styling, and immersive installations, emphasizing creativity that challenges current trends rather than following them. With a reputation for delivering striking aesthetic experiences, this company consistently caters to upscale weddings, social celebrations, and large-scale events across Los Angeles and its surroundings. Their commitment to artistry and meticulous execution distinguishes them within the luxury event production sector.
The role of Creative Event Producer at this studio is crucial and dynamic, requiring a blend of artistic vision and superb organizational aptitude. The position reports directly to the studio's Owner and Creative Director, evidencing the importance of this role within the company structure. The person in this role leads the end-to-end planning and execution of floral event projects, from initial proposals through to final installation and strike, ensuring a high level of creative fidelity and client satisfaction throughout the process. With a salary range of $85,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience, plus potential performance bonuses, this role offers a competitive compensation package.
The Creative Event Producer must possess a refined visual sensibility and a strong passion for design, drawing inspiration from a diverse array of disciplines including fashion, interiors, architecture, art installations, and contemporary design trends. They function as a pivotal liaison between the design team and clients, maintaining clear communication channels and managing the intricate details involved in high-end event production. Responsibilities include supervising the creative process, approving designs, and steering the team toward innovative interpretations that maintain the studio's signature aesthetic standards.
Beyond creative direction, this role entails rigorous project management duties. The Creative Event Producer coordinates schedules, budgets, materials procurement, and logistical arrangements to deliver flawless installations. A key aspect of the job involves onsite leadership during event setups and breakdowns, requiring the ability to direct freelance and permanent team members efficiently while adhering to tight timelines.
The ideal candidate will have more than four years of experience in relevant fields such as events, luxury hospitality, floral design, or creative production. Possessing strong organizational skills and a keen personal sense of style, they must thrive in fast-paced environments, juggling multiple projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail and follow-through. An outgoing personality that fosters natural client relationships and the ability to inspire and lead creative teams effectively are essential qualities.
Technological proficiency with tools such as Excel, Canva, Google Workspace, Dropbox, Slack, and project management or operational systems further supports efficient workflow management. While not mandatory, bilingual candidates are viewed favorably, enhancing the studio's client outreach and communication capabilities.
This role requires flexibility, as event schedules often extend to early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and long production hours to meet client expectations. The events predominantly occur throughout Los Angeles, with the possibility of occasional travel, presenting an exciting opportunity to engage with a diverse range of high-profile projects within a vibrant cultural hub. Overall, the Creative Event Producer position offers a rewarding blend of creativity, leadership, and operational excellence within a prestigious and forward-thinking design studio.
