Job Duties
- Bagging groceries at checkout for customers
- Striving for at least five items in each bag while preventing damage
- Following best practices for various bag types (reusable/plastic/paper)
- Assisting customers by removing merchandise from baskets
- Offering to help load bags into customers' cars
- Performing basic shelf conditioning
- Informing customers of grocery specials
- Returning merchandise to store shelves
- Gathering and returning baskets to designated areas
- Cleaning spills and picking up trash inside store and parking lot
- Cleaning all areas inside and outside the store
- Handling and assembling seasonal merchandise
- Understanding store layout, locating products, and conducting price checks
- Reinforcing safety programs by complying with procedures and reporting unsafe conditions
- Adhering to all food safety guidelines
- Performing preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues
- Creating a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Following all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Working cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Managing conflict in a reasonable and nonconfrontational manner
- Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Following directions and seeking assistance when necessary
- Providing support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
