Job Duties
- Bag groceries at check out for customers
- Strive to pack at least five items per bag while preventing damage
- Follow best practices for using reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from baskets
- Help customers load groceries into their cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Collect and return baskets to designated areas
- Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside of store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Know store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks
- Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and report repairs
- Create welcoming environment by answering product questions
- Adhere to all local, state and federal laws and company policies
- Cooperate effectively in a high-paced, stressful environment
- Manage conflict reasonably and non-confrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
