Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior administrative or clerical experience preferred
  • ability to multi-task effectively
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • capability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • ability to work independently and travel occasionally
  • physical ability to perform medium work involving standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • the ability to multi-task and possess excellent grammar, organizational and communication skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment with highly sensitive information
  • ability to work independently and travel to outlying districts when needed
  • working knowledge of CARES and Cook County Clerk's system preferred

Job Duties

  • Pull court call and companion cases for each court date
  • prepare cases for up-coming court date by obtaining required information
  • e-file and data enter motions
  • screen and data entry pro-se motions and private attorney motions
  • process and data entry incoming mail
  • check parties in when they arrive at court
  • update and verify parties' information
  • assist in drafting Court Orders
  • answer incoming calls, transfer to appropriate personnel and forward problem calls to the supervisor
  • enter Court Orders with the Clerk and make copies
  • update and process cases once they return from court
  • mail court orders and other documentation
  • keep files organized
  • perform other duties and special projects as assigned
