Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior administrative or clerical experience preferred
- ability to multi-task effectively
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- capability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- ability to work independently and travel occasionally
- physical ability to perform medium work involving standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds
Job Qualifications
- the ability to multi-task and possess excellent grammar, organizational and communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with highly sensitive information
- ability to work independently and travel to outlying districts when needed
- working knowledge of CARES and Cook County Clerk's system preferred
Job Duties
- Pull court call and companion cases for each court date
- prepare cases for up-coming court date by obtaining required information
- e-file and data enter motions
- screen and data entry pro-se motions and private attorney motions
- process and data entry incoming mail
- check parties in when they arrive at court
- update and verify parties' information
- assist in drafting Court Orders
- answer incoming calls, transfer to appropriate personnel and forward problem calls to the supervisor
- enter Court Orders with the Clerk and make copies
- update and process cases once they return from court
- mail court orders and other documentation
- keep files organized
- perform other duties and special projects as assigned
