Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license for assigned vehicle
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with assistance
- Meet federal FMCSA section 391 qualifications including passing medical exam
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to read and speak English adequately for traffic and safety compliance
- Ability to maintain safe driving record and alertness
- Neat appearance
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must hold valid license for the type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to lift and maneuver packages up to and beyond 50 lbs safely
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Ability to work alertly and safely in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Proficient in reading and speaking English sufficient for traffic and safety communication
Job Duties
- Drive and operate company vehicles for delivery and pick-up of packages
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service standards
- Provide courteous and professional customer service during deliveries
- Perform physical handling and maneuvering of packages including those over 50 lbs using equipment or assistance
- Comply with all safety regulations including FMCSA section 391 and participate in required medical examinations
- Maintain neat appearance and effective communication with customers and traffic officials
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors
