The position available is for a Driver/Operator of company vehicles, responsible for the courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. This role is integral to maintaining FedEx's reputation for dependable service and customer satisfaction. The Driver/Operator is tasked with ensuring shipments conform to FedEx's service features while performing related customer service functions. The candidate will operate company vehicles within assigned routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery and collection of goods.
This is specifically a Monday through Friday PM shift role, with approximate working hours from 2:45 PM to 8:30 PM. The role requires a physical capacity to lift and maneuver packages including those weighing up to 50 lbs or more, using appropriate equipment or assistance when necessary. The position demands a neat appearance and excellent verbal communication skills, as it involves direct customer interaction. Compliance with federal regulations such as section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) is mandatory, including passing a medical examination according to FMCSA or FAA standards.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license for assigned vehicle
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with assistance
- Meet federal FMCSA section 391 qualifications including passing medical exam
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to read and speak English adequately for traffic and safety compliance
- Ability to maintain safe driving record and alertness
- Neat appearance
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Drive and operate company vehicles for delivery and pick-up of packages
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service standards
- Provide courteous and professional customer service during deliveries
- Perform physical handling and maneuvering of packages including those over 50 lbs using equipment or assistance
- Comply with all safety regulations including FMCSA section 391 and participate in required medical examinations
- Maintain neat appearance and effective communication with customers and traffic officials
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors
