Recognized as a Great Place to Work certified employer, the company prides itself on fostering a supportive, inclusive, and innovative work environment where employees are valued and empowered. Sonic Healthcare USA emphasizes teamwork, safety, and quality control in its operations, creating a strong foundation for delivering high-standard healthcare services. The organization is committed to diversity and equal opportunity, prohibiting any form of discrimination or harassment while encouraging a culture of respect and belonging among its workforce.
This part-time position, located in Tyler, Texas, on the 2nd shift, invites individuals to join the front lines as vital contributors to the healthcare process. The role primarily involves performing essential courier duties that are critical to patient care. As a courier for Clinical Pathology Laboratories, you will be responsible for transporting reports, records, medical specimens, and supplies between laboratories and healthcare providers. Reliability and professionalism are crucial, as you will interact directly with various clients, delivering a high level of customer service while ensuring the safe and compliant handling of all specimens and documentation. This role combines the responsibility of driving with attention to precise operational protocols, requiring excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards, rain or shine.
The position is suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and who can manage time constraints independently without close supervision. It requires physical capability, including light to medium lifting, and a commitment to championing safety and quality in every task. While a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record are mandatory, experience in operating vehicles for business use and knowledge of medical terminology are advantageous and will help candidates stand out.
Despite being a part-time and non-benefit eligible role, employees receive recognition for their work and the intrinsic reward of contributing positively to community healthcare. The company offers growth opportunities, free lab services for employees and eligible dependents, and access to a comprehensive benefits package—including medical, dental, and vision insurance—for eligible staff. Additionally, employees benefit from a work-life balance supported through paid time off, holidays, and retirement plan options like a 401(k) with a company match. Above all, working at Clinical Pathology Laboratories means being part of a community that values commitment, collaboration, and continuous improvement toward better healthcare outcomes.
