Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 5 years management experience in country club or recreation facility
  • demonstrated ability to supervise diverse teams
  • strong organizational and planning skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication
  • capacity to manage budgets and financial plans
  • ability to interact professionally with stakeholders
  • knowledge of club operations and facilities maintenance
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and special events

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality management, recreation management, or related field
  • extensive management experience in country club or similar recreational facility
  • strong leadership and team management skills

  • ability to develop and implement operational policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Directs and oversees comprehensive year-round club program including banquet hall, fitness center, pool, tennis center, golf course, kids club, programming, food and beverage, pro shop, and special events
  • makes complex decisions supporting the club's vision, mission and core values
  • manages and supervises operations to achieve strategic goals and key performance indicators
  • plans and organizes workload and staff assignments, hires, trains, motivates and evaluates staff
  • provides leadership in developing short- and long-range plans
  • gathers and prepares data for reports and recommendations
  • coordinates club relationships with other departments and agencies
  • communicates plans and policies to City commission, administration, staff, and public
  • oversees financial and business operations, including budget preparation and monitoring
  • coordinates and facilitates club contracts and serves as liaison to contractors
  • promotes club in community and speaks on behalf of the club
  • determines work procedures, schedules, expedites workflow, and improves operational efficiency
  • builds teamwork and resolves employee grievances
  • provides professional mentorship and instructions
  • prepares studies and reports for decision-making
  • establishes partnerships with City departments and public agencies
  • manages special projects, program reviews, and operational planning
  • assures compliance with policies and procedures
  • maintains reports and operates records
  • responds to inquiries from members, public, and city employees
  • performs other related tasks as required
