Job Description

The Players Club, designed by PGA TOUR Legend Arnold Palmer, is Omaha's premier private club offering an exceptional blend of luxury, recreation, and social experiences. As Omaha's only 27-hole private club, it provides its members and guests with a wealth of amenities including a championship golf course, a comprehensive practice facility, PGA instruction, and exceptional dining options. Beyond golf, The Players Club features a junior Olympic pool, a children's pool complete with zero-depth entry and water play features, a fitness center, and full-service dining venues, establishing itself as a vibrant and dynamic social hub within the community.

The Players Club is currently seeking charismatic and skilled Bartenders to join their esteemed hospitality team. This role is essential in delivering memorable experiences to members and guests through expert mixology and attentive service. As a Bartender at The Players Club, you'll be preparing and serving a diverse range of handcrafted cocktails, wines, and beers in various settings such as restaurants, bars, and special events hosted by the club. This position demands an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains impeccable service standards, and can contribute to the welcoming and vibrant atmosphere that defines The Players Club.

The role offers an attractive hourly wage supplemented by tips, averaging between $21.00 and $24.00 per hour. Candidates must be available to work during nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the varied needs of the club's operations. Responsibilities include greeting members and guests promptly, preparing drinks with precision, ensuring compliance with all alcohol service laws, maintaining clean and organized bar areas, and assisting in training fellow bartenders. Bartenders are also expected to oversee banquet bartenders when necessary and stay informed about club specials and events to enhance guest engagement.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, excellent communication skills, and an engaging personality. Alcohol beverage certification and food safety certification are required, alongside the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and operate in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. Physical stamina is important, as the role involves extended periods of standing, walking, and other physical activity. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old 21 preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One or more years of bartending experience preferred country club or hospitality experience preferred
  • Alcohol beverage certification and food safety certification required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand walk bend stoop and reach for extended periods
  • Availability to work nights weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old 21 preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One or more years of bartending experience preferred country club or hospitality experience preferred
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide and to compute rates ratios and percentages
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in varied situations
  • Alcohol beverage certification required
  • Food safety certification required
  • Knowledge of liquors wines beers and cocktail recipes including call house and premium brands
  • Ability to create signature cocktails
  • Excellent communication skills and a pleasant engaging personality
  • Strong attention to detail time management and service etiquette
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Greet members and guests promptly providing attentive service within one minute of arrival
  • Prepare mix and serve cocktails wine and beer with precision and consistency
  • Inspect the bar before opening to ensure adequate supplies and stock as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar areas glassware utensils and equipment
  • Operate the POS system to accurately charge for food and beverages
  • Enforce alcohol service laws and club policies check IDs
  • Limit overconsumption by monitoring guests and arranging transportation when needed
  • Create attractive displays of bottles and glassware
  • Slice and prepare garnishes for drinks prepare small appetizers when requested
  • Assist in training other bartenders in proper mixology and service techniques
  • Supervise banquet bartenders when assigned
  • Stay updated on daily specials upcoming events and club announcements
