Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months to 2 years related experience preferred
  • Alcohol certification required
  • Food handler’s certificate as required
  • Ability to see, hear, read, and write in English
  • Basic math and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal directions
  • Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
  • Ability to handle money and operate point-of-sale system
  • Ability to manage workflow and resolve issues with supervisor
  • Ability to stand or walk throughout entire shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed

Job Duties

  • Know and follow posted schedule and adhere to clock in/out time
  • Provide timely and courteous service to guests at the counter and throughout the restaurant
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, wines, beers, and cocktails
  • Adhere to company, state, and county sanitation standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Demonstrate friendly, helpful, positive attitude
  • Follow Willie’s operating policies and steps of service
  • Welcome and greet guests following established service guidelines
  • Assist fellow team members in meeting guest needs
  • Answer guest questions and make recommendations about food, beverages, and restaurant services
  • Understand and follow correct procedures for serving guests with allergens
  • Take and confirm food and beverage orders
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures and notify manager on duty accordingly
  • Deliver non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages to guests
  • Assist other bartenders and servers in providing outstanding service
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
  • Assist servers, server assistants, and bartenders when necessary
  • Perform side work and cleaning duties throughout the shift
  • Attend company meetings and training seminars
  • Perform duties according to the Employee Handbook including dress code and grooming guidelines
  • Keep supervisor informed of guest service issues and take corrective action as needed
  • Treat guests, team members, and managers with respect and courtesy
  • Maintain a friendly and cooperative attitude at work
  • Portray a favorable image of Willie’s Grill and Icehouse
  • Perform related tasks as assigned by management
