The current opportunity is for Front of House team members at Tatte's Boston location who play a crucial role in creating memorable guest experiences. This role encompasses two main types of positions: Counter Team Members and Baristas. Counter Team Members are responsible for engaging with guests, taking orders using point-of-sale systems, and delivering food and beverages while maintaining organizational standards. Baristas bring artistic skill to coffee preparation, ensuring every espresso-based beverage meets Tatte's high standards for quality and presentation. Ideal candidates have a passion for coffee, a deep knowledge of menu offerings, and a friendly, approachable demeanor.

This part-time role offers competitive pay starting at $11.50 per hour plus tips for counter staff and $13.00 per hour plus tips for baristas, with typical earnings ranging from $18 to $22 per hour including tips. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • minimum one year of experience as a barista using manual espresso equipment preferred

Job Duties

  • provides gracious and high-quality service to guests by welcoming them to the cafe and engaging throughout their experience
  • determine guests' needs by asking questions and sharing product knowledge
  • have comprehensive knowledge of all Tatte products
  • take guests' orders using the point-of-sale system
  • execute all Tatte product and packaging standards
  • deliver coffee beverages and food to guests
  • maintain clean and well-stocked cafe stations
  • actively maintain and support cafe cleanliness and visual brand standards
  • comply with and follow all safety and sanitation standards while adhering to policies and procedures
  • prepare and serve beverages according to recipes and specifications
  • answer guests' questions about offerings
  • operate all barista station equipment according to standards
  • keep bar and equipment clean and sanitary
  • deliver beautiful and artistic espresso beverages
  • other duties as assigned
