Job Requirements

  • Must be of minimum legal age to serve alcohol according to state law
  • Professional demeanor appropriate for luxury environment
  • Excellent eye for detail and multi-tasking ability
  • Effective listening and guest communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic food handling policies and sanitation standards
  • Physically able to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend throughout shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of Micros or other POS systems
  • Food handling certificate
  • TIPS certificate
  • Previous food and beverage experience in a hotel environment preferred
  • Knowledge of food and wine is an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends

Job Duties

  • Greet each guest promptly and warmly using their name
  • Know ingredients, preparation, and presentation of menu items and specials
  • Ensure products meet highest quality standards
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service
  • Suggest food and beverage options appropriately
  • Communicate with kitchen regarding menu questions and product availability
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas and equipment
  • Set tables according to event type and service standards
  • Key orders accurately on Micros POS system
  • Present accurate checks and process payments
  • Assist in maintaining standards of appearance, sanitation, and service
  • Perform other duties as required by management
