Job Requirements
- Must be of minimum legal age to serve alcohol according to state law
- Professional demeanor appropriate for luxury environment
- Excellent eye for detail and multi-tasking ability
- Effective listening and guest communication skills
- Knowledge of basic food handling policies and sanitation standards
- Physically able to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend throughout shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of Micros or other POS systems
- Food handling certificate
- TIPS certificate
- Previous food and beverage experience in a hotel environment preferred
- Knowledge of food and wine is an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
Job Duties
- Greet each guest promptly and warmly using their name
- Know ingredients, preparation, and presentation of menu items and specials
- Ensure products meet highest quality standards
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction
- Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service
- Suggest food and beverage options appropriately
- Communicate with kitchen regarding menu questions and product availability
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas and equipment
- Set tables according to event type and service standards
- Key orders accurately on Micros POS system
- Present accurate checks and process payments
- Assist in maintaining standards of appearance, sanitation, and service
- Perform other duties as required by management
