Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience in food preparation and supervisory roles
- must obtain ServSafe Food Manager Certification or equivalent within six months of hire
- valid driver’s license and ability to maintain eligibility to drive a fleet vehicle
- ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- legal authorization to work in the United States
- pass pre-employment drug screen as required
- successful completion of criminal background check and fingerprinting
- compliance with facility health policies including tuberculosis screening and hepatitis vaccination
Job Qualifications
- experience preparing and directing others in cooking and baking various foods
- experience training or teaching food preparation, cooking, baking, meat cutting, and processing
- experience maintaining cleanliness and ensuring food safety
- experience planning menus that meet nutritional requirements and manage food inventory effectively
- ability to obtain ServSafe Food Manager Certification or equivalent within six months of hire
- possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to meet State of Wisconsin fleet requirements
Job Duties
- direct the production of meals
- train and supervise resident food service workers
- plan meals considering nutritional requirements and inventory
- procure supplies needed for kitchen operations
- care for and clean kitchen equipment
- maintain food inventory and monitor stock levels
- enforce proper sanitation standards and ensure compliance with health regulations
