The Correctional Supervising Cook will be responsible for supervising a team of cooks and inmate workers in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food. The individual in this role must demonstrate leadership by instructing culinary workers and inmate assistants, maintaining discipline, and ensuring the safe operation of culinary services within a secure correctional environment. Job Requirements
- One year experience as Cook Specialist II or equivalent in California state service
- Two years supervisory experience over cooks and food service workers
- Equivalent to completion of twelfth grade
- Ability to plan and organize culinary operations
- Ability to supervise inmate workers
- Knowledge of safety regulations
- No Training and Development assignment considered

- Completion of twelfth grade or equivalent
- One year experience as Cook Specialist II in California state service or two years experience supervising cooks and food service workers
- Ability to supervise and assist in food preparation and cooking
- Experience in managing large culinary operations
