Job Requirements
- possess a high school diploma or GED
- be 21 years of age or older
- United States citizen
- meet DPSST physical standards
- possess reading comprehension, report writing, and retention abilities
- satisfactorily complete an ODOC background investigation
- pass NTN test with minimum score of 70 percent
- good employee work history
- history of law abiding behavior
- pass psychological evaluation and risk assessment
- no evidence of substance abuse
- proficient using computers
- possess a valid driver’s license
- subject to drug testing

Job Duties
- maintain order within the institution
- enforce rules and regulations consistently
- provide care to ensure safety and security
- monitor activities and supervise inmate work assignments
- conduct cell checks and searches for contraband
- settle disputes and enforce discipline
- observe, inspect, and report on safety, sanitary, and fire hazards
