Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hotel management
  • minimum 3 years relevant management experience in Marriott, Hilton, or IHG properties
  • valid driver's license with ability to travel extensively
  • willingness to travel up to 90 percent of the time
  • ability to complete pre-hire drug and background screening
  • strong leadership and team motivation skills
  • excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • proficiency in computer applications including property management systems
  • capability to manage budgets and financial reports
  • flexibility to perform various operational roles when needed

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hotel management
  • minimum 3 years experience working in Marriott, Hilton, or IHG properties in a management role
  • valid driver's license
  • proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
  • familiarity with brand-specific property management systems
  • excellent communication, presentation, organization, and time management skills
  • strong analytical skills
  • ability to interact effectively with all levels of customers and hotel management

Job Duties

  • Serves as acting General Manager of hotels in transition and provides corporate support for projects as directed
  • fills in for General Managers within an assigned area where there is a vacancy
  • assumes full responsibilities as the acting General Manager managing revenues, cost controls, team development, staffing, conflict resolution, and daily operations
  • trains and works in various hotel positions to assist with employee training or shortages including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance
  • maintains accountability and effective communication while keeping corporate supervision informed
  • ensures corporate reporting deadlines are met and prioritizes financial results, guest satisfaction, and team spirit
  • leads by example with integrity
  • guides and directs management in the development and financial aspects of projects and services
  • manages all revenue sources ensuring profitability and strong working relationships across departments
  • creates annual budget, monitors hotel performance, and provides coaching
  • attracts, motivates, develops, rewards, and retains top talent
  • ensures training of General Managers, Assistant General Managers, Front Office Managers, and other department heads using approved company standards
  • enforces NHG Performance Standards
  • travels between properties to train leadership and perform essential General Manager functions during absences
  • performs additional assigned duties
