Job Duties

  • Establishes and maintains flight attendant guide in the flight department operations manual
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the pilot in command
  • Performs preflight, through-flight and post-flight inspections of aircraft emergency, cabin and galley equipment
  • Operates aircraft systems and equipment such as electrical, interphone, doors, exits
  • Ensures cleanliness of aircraft interior
  • Provides for passenger comfort during aircraft operations
  • Plans all menus and coordinates meal requirements
  • Purchases required food and supplies to serve meals and beverages
  • Provides cabin service and monitors passengers in-flight
  • Provides leadership, direction and assistance during an emergency, including aircraft evacuation, administering first aid to ill or incapacitated passengers
  • Handles emergencies according to procedures
  • Briefs passengers
  • Performs orderly evacuation of passengers and crew
  • Provides emergency medical assistance
  • Supervises loading and off-loading of aircraft passengers and baggage
  • Ensures access to escape exits
