Selland Hospitality Group is a well-established leader in the farm-to-fork movement with over 30 years of dedicated service in the hospitality industry. Situated in Sacramento, this esteemed company operates six diverse locations, ranging from casual dining favorites to fine-dining establishments, ensuring a broad reach and influence in the culinary landscape. With a strong reputation for quality and integrity, Selland Hospitality Group has become synonymous with exceptional hospitality experiences, fueled by a commitment to locally sourced ingredients and sustainable dining practices. Their ethos centers around creating welcoming environments that celebrate community, innovation, and culinary excellence.
The role open at Selland Hospitality Group is for a dynamic culinary leader who is passionate about hands-on kitchen management and innovation. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually. The successful candidate will oversee culinary programs and food quality across all six locations, ensuring that each venue maintains its unique brand identity while adhering to the highest standards of food excellence. This leadership position emphasizes a "kitchens-first" approach where the candidate will engage directly with kitchen operations, mentor executive chefs and senior culinary staff, and implement training programs that foster growth and consistency. The role involves managing seasonal menu rollouts and holiday catering with precision, guaranteeing that each change is executed flawlessly without disrupting guest experience or food quality.
Key responsibilities include developing "Picture Perfect" training tools and standardized recipes to enhance consistency across all locations, conducting kitchen walkthroughs with coaching opportunities, and collaborating with operations leadership on budget management and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have more than a decade of culinary leadership experience, demonstrating expertise in managing multiple units and maintaining composure under the pressures of high-volume environments. Adaptability and flexibility in scheduling are necessary, as the role demands mobility and the ability to support service in various kitchen settings, including those requiring physical stamina.
Joining Selland Hospitality Group means becoming part of a culture rooted in five core pillars: teamwork, hospitality, excellence, pride, and positive impact. Teamwork involves leading and mentoring culinary leaders to elevate skill levels. Hospitality prioritizes guest-first service philosophies ensuring outstanding dining experiences. Excellence is about continuous improvement and maintaining quality while respecting each brand's distinct character. Pride reflects the responsibility of upholding the company's stellar culinary reputation. Lastly, positive impact speaks to fostering a safe, respectful, and inspiring work environment. The company also offers extensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off with bonuses, holiday pay, free meals during shifts, and numerous employee wellness and educational opportunities. This role promises a chance to influence Sacramento's vibrant culinary scene while growing professionally in a supportive and ambitious team environment.
