Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Event Planning, or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of related work experience
  • experience effectively managing and planning events
  • excellent customer service skills working with diverse backgrounds
  • ability to speak clearly to give instructions and explanations and listen when communicating with staff, vendors, and clients
  • ability to write and compose correspondence, contracts, memos, and reports
  • experience establishing and maintaining cooperative and productive work relationships
  • excellent organizational and time management skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

Job Duties

  • Manage all logistics for corporate and private events
  • assist in determining event strategies and plans to accomplish event success
  • determine needs and resolve problems by making strategic, business-oriented, and client-serving decisions
  • manage facility staffing needs and communicate event requirements with internal departments such as security, operations, and guest services
  • instruct contracted staff on event days
  • manage small to mid-size events with subcontractors, decorating companies, audio-visual companies, food and beverage providers, contractors, and others
  • develop and manage successful business relationships with clients and vendors to provide exceptional customer service and increase future bookings
  • prepare paperwork for event planning including work orders, floor plans, event reports, and final invoicing
  • manage event expenses from contracting through final settlement
  • assist other team members with events including NFL and NCAA as needed
  • monitor events to enforce building rules, policies, and safety procedures
  • conduct site tours for prospective and booked clients
  • showcase the variety of usage, operations, and functions the facility can provide
