The role of Corporate Director of Food & Beverage at Aegis Living is a critical leadership position within the management and culinary services team. This executive role is designed to provide expert support and oversight across all food and beverage operations in Aegis communities spanning three states. Reporting to the Vice President of Culinary Services & Procurement, the Corporate Director of Food & Beverage collaborates closely with multiple vice presidents and community leaders to align culinary and dining standards company-wide. This role focuses on delivering consistent, high-quality dining experiences that foster resident satisfaction and promote a positive, motivated work environment for dining and culinary staff.

In this position, strategic leadership is applied to ensure adherence to Aegis Living's rigorous hospitality goals. The Corporate Director is responsible for evaluating and training food and beverage teams, standardizing service protocols such as plating and steps of service, and integrating regulatory requirements into daily operations. They play a key role in recruiting and onboarding front-of-house personnel, while also providing ongoing coaching to Culinary Services Directors, Dining Room Managers, servers, and kitchen teams. The goal is to create exceptional guest experiences that support the wellness and enjoyment of residents.

Moreover, the Corporate Director of Food & Beverage monitors menu performance and updates offerings based on emerging culinary trends and community preferences. They navigate resident feedback to innovate service delivery and ensure exceptional hospitality throughout dining areas. Administrative duties include managing point of sale systems, procurement processes, and vendor platforms to streamline operations and support efficiency. Compliance and quality assurance are emphasized through identifying areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions, and collaborating with executive leadership to maintain regulatory standards.

The role also involves partnership with life enrichment teams and engagement with residents, families, referrals, and vendors. This collaborative approach strengthens the direction of culinary services and helps maintain a nurturing environment that supports resident independence and well-being. With an annual salary range of $140,000 to $150,000, this full-time position offers a dynamic opportunity for an experienced food and beverage leader to impact senior living hospitality at an organizational level.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old
  • must meet all health requirements including acceptable results on TB screen and state requirements on criminal background check
  • current and valid state approved Food Handlers card
  • ServSafe Manager Certification
  • minimum of 5 years food and beverage or hospitality leadership experience
  • ability to lead and motivate teams
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems
  • ability to travel as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in food and beverage or hospitality leadership roles
  • bachelors degree in hospitality management, restaurant management, business, administration or similar preferred
  • experience building and leading effective food and beverage teams including hiring, training, and development
  • proven track record in achieving high guest satisfaction
  • strong understanding of food and beverage trends and industry best practices
  • demonstrated organization and administrative skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, management software and POS systems
  • skill in preparing written materials like correspondence and reports
  • proven aptitude for cross-functional collaboration
  • skills in dealing with complex problems and competing priorities
  • current and valid state approved Food Handlers card and ServSafe Manager Certification

Job Duties

  • Promotes achievement of hospitality goals ensuring consistent dining experiences and positive work environment
  • evaluates, trains, and implements steps of service, plating, and service standards
  • participates in workshops and meetings to teach best practices exceeding customer expectations
  • assists in recruitment and interviewing of front-of-house candidates
  • organizes orientation for Culinary Services Directors and updates orientation materials
  • facilitates orientation and training for dining and culinary teams establishing service standards
  • evaluates data to improve residents culinary and dining experiences
  • monitors menu performance and updates offerings based on trends and feedback
  • ensures exceptional service quality and addresses resident feedback promptly
  • provides administrative support to systems enhancing services including POS and procurement
  • identifies and implements policies and procedures to correct issues
  • assures compliance with regulatory requirements and community standards
  • provides timely reports on performance and hospitality standards
  • collaborates on activation of spaces with Life Enrichment
  • builds professional partnerships with residents, families, referrals, and vendors to lead culinary direction
