The Corporate Director of Dining Services at Kintura is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of dining programs across all Life Plan Communities. This position ensures the consistent provision of high-quality hospitality and culinary experiences designed to meet the needs and preferences of senior residents. The Director oversees compliance with regulatory standards, drives financial performance, and champions innovation in dining services to enhance resident satisfaction and engagement. They collaborate closely with community leadership teams to implement system-wide standards, customized local solutions, and emerging industry best practices.

In this full-time role based in Greensboro, NC, the Corporate Director of Dining Services plays a key role in shaping the dining culture and operational success of Kintura’s communities. The Director’s responsibilities include mentoring and developing dining leaders, standardizing menus and service models, and leading initiatives that improve food service quality, safety, and sustainability. Regular travel (up to 50-70%) is required to various community sites for audits, training, and team support. The role demands strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a thorough understanding of regulatory environments and financial management within the senior living sector.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, nutrition, or related field
  • Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in multi-site dining, hospitality, or senior living
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Certified Executive Chef (CEC), or similar credentials preferred
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare and senior living regulatory environments
  • Demonstrated success in financial management and operational performance improvement
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop high-performing teams across multiple locations
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and strategic thinking skills

Job Duties

  • Support campus leadership with establishing and upholding high standards of hospitality that reflect a culture of warmth, dignity, and personalized service
  • Champion a resident-centered dining philosophy that prioritizes choice, quality, and meaningful experiences
  • Develop and monitor service standards, ensuring consistency across all communities
  • Lead initiatives that enhance satisfaction, engagement, and overall dining experience
  • Provide system-level consultation, support, and accountability to Dining Services Directors and Executive Chefs across all communities
  • Standardize processes, menus, and service models where appropriate while allowing for local customization
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits, and performance reviews to ensure operational excellence
  • Participate in interviews and lead training and onboarding for Dining Directors and Executive Chef hires
  • Mentor and develop dining leaders, building a strong leadership pipeline
  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including health department standards, food safety, and sanitation protocols
  • Maintain readiness for inspections and surveys

  • Stay current with trends in senior living dining, culinary innovation, nutrition, and hospitality
  • Introduce and implement best practices that elevate quality, efficiency, and experience
  • Lead system-wide initiatives such as menu development, wellness-focused dining, and sustainability efforts
  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions that enhance operations and reporting
  • Serve as a key strategic partner to executive leadership, operations, and clinical teams
  • Support new community openings, renovations, and dining program transitions
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to position dining services as a differentiator
