Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality desired
  • At least one year related sales experience in a similar sized hotel, resort, or winery operation
  • Solid knowledge of hotel service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Ability and experience working in a high volume, time sensitive sales environment
  • Ability to learn, follow and maintain effective sales processes to maximize revenue
  • Completion of all required training
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn and operate hotel computer systems
  • Availability to work AM, PM, weekend and holiday shifts as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality desired
  • At least one year of related sales experience, preferably in Event Coordination, Conference Services, or Catering Sales
  • Strong knowledge of hotel service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and hotel computer systems
  • Experience with Delphi FDC software desired
  • Strong sales techniques, negotiation, and closing skills

Job Duties

  • Provide complete account management for assigned territory
  • Respond to all incoming leads and RFPs to secure hotel event space bookings
  • Prepare detailed proposals considering venue availability, pricing minimums, and rental fees
  • Conduct site tours and meet with clients to secure potential bookings
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships through effective communication
  • Collaborate with clients to plan event details and upsell food, beverage, and room rentals
  • Serve as onsite liaison during events, approve final billing, and coordinate with operations team
