As a Sweetgreen Team Member, you will develop vital skills in food preparation, customer service, inventory support, and teamwork. The role provides room for career advancement with top-performing team members having the opportunity to move up to General Manager within as short as 36 months. This employment type is typically part-time, requiring a minimum availability of 12 hours per week. Job Requirements

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 12 hours per week
  • lifting routinely 5-25 lbs and occasionally 40-50 lbs
  • bending for accessing low areas and handling items
  • reaching for accessing high areas and ingredients restocking
  • squatting for accessing low areas
  • pulling items or equipment
  • manual dexterity with typing and handling tools like knives, thermometers, POS systems, and cleaning equipment
  • physical mobility including navigating stairs, doors, ramps, and elevators
  • repetitive motions such as chopping, assembling, mixing, and cleaning
  • physical endurance for long shifts and peak periods
  • coordination for multitasking and handling bulky items in tight spaces
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • must be authorized to work in the United States
  • standing and walking for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience with strong customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Deliver exceptional hospitality while supporting smooth restaurant operations
  • greet customers and share menu knowledge
  • portion, mix, squeeze, chop, and prep ingredients
  • build salads quickly and accurately ensuring correct portions and presentation
  • maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • safely operate kitchen tools and equipment including knives, blenders, thermometers, dish machines, and POS systems
  • restock and rotate ingredients and supplies during service and prep shifts
  • use clear verbal cues to ensure team coordination and workplace safety
  • follow prep guides and recipe cards to ensure food is prepared to standard and allergens are properly handled
  • efficiently manage prep, service, and cleaning tasks during peak hours
