The Sweetgreen Team Member role is critical in delivering exceptional hospitality and ensuring smooth, efficient restaurant operations. Your responsibilities will range from greeting and assisting guests to preparing and assembling fresh, high-quality food quickly and accurately according to standardized recipes and safety protocols. Job Requirements

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 12 hours per week
  • routinely handle lifting items up to 5-25 lbs and occasionally 40-50 lbs
  • able to bend, reach, squat, and pull as required for various tasks
  • demonstrate manual dexterity for typing and handling tools
  • exhibit physical mobility for navigating stairs, doors, ramps, elevators, and equipment use
  • perform repetitive motions such as chopping and assembling
  • maintain energy and efficiency through long shifts and peak periods
  • coordinate balance and multitasking
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • authorized to work in the United States
  • able to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Deliver exceptional hospitality while supporting smooth restaurant operations
  • greet customers and share menu knowledge
  • prepare food including portioning, mixing, squeezing, chopping, and prepping ingredients
  • build salads quickly and accurately ensuring correct portions and presentation
  • maintain clean and organized workspace adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • safely operate kitchen tools and equipment including knives, blenders, dish machines, and POS systems
  • restock and rotate ingredients and supplies
  • use clear communication for team coordination and safety
  • follow prep guides and protocols for allergen handling and preventing cross-contamination
  • efficiently manage prep, service, and cleaning responsibilities especially during peak hours
