We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume setting and understands that delivering great food starts with efficient systems and strong leadership. The Kitchen Manager role at Copeland's is a hands-on culinary leadership position responsible for driving food quality, managing costs, fostering a positive kitchen culture, and ensuring operational excellence daily. This role is integral to maintaining the standards that make Copeland’s a standout establishment.
The Kitchen Manager will lead by example, upholding all Copeland's recipes, specifications, systems, and food standards meticulously. They will manage food cost, inventory levels, ordering processes, and waste control to optimize operational efficiency. With a focus on labor productivity, the manager will create smart schedules and monitor productivity to align with the restaurant’s financial goals. Their leadership extends to training, developing, and retaining back-of-house team members, creating a professional environment where quality and consistency are non-negotiable.
In partnership with the General Manager, the Kitchen Manager will play a key role in driving financial and operational success. Job Requirements
- 2+ years of kitchen management experience
- Proven food cost and labor cost management skills
- Experience using inventory systems and prep planning
- Strong leadership skills in high-volume environments
- Ability to train and develop kitchen staff
- Basic proficiency in reporting and restaurant software

- Managing food cost, inventory levels, ordering, and waste control
- Driving labor efficiency through smart scheduling and productivity management
- Leading kitchen shifts with urgency, organization, and attention to detail
- Training, developing, and retaining BOH team members
- Maintaining food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at the highest level
- Partnering with the General Manager to hit financial and operational goals
- Ensuring every guest receives consistently high-quality food
