Job Requirements
- Regular and reliable attendance during scheduled work hours
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to university policies
- Willingness to work flexible hours including peak periods
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to supervise student assistants as needed
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Registration with U.S. Selective Service System if applicable
- Ability to travel when required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Two years in an administrative position preferably in a Student Union or Conference Services with emphasis in event management, scheduling or programming
- Ability to plan, direct, and evaluate complex operations
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish effective work relationships
- Experience in budgetary and fiscal planning
- Ability to handle multiple projects and peak workloads
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficiency in use of personal computers and university software
- Ability to work flexible schedules and respond to emergencies
- Experience working with diverse populations
Job Duties
- Schedules and coordinates summer camp and conference groups including facility reservations and housing accommodations
- Coordinates scheduling of the Gertrude Gibson House
- Markets the university as a host site for summer camps and conferences
- Assists with coordination of external events in Margo Jones and Pioneer Hall
- Assists with contract and event logistics for Student Union Programming events
- Manages scheduling and reservation requests for venues managed by Student Union and Conference Services
- Works with risk management to inform groups about campus policies and insurance requirements
- Prepares and initiates invoices and provides billing services for summer camp and conference groups
