The Special Events Coordinator position, classified as full-time benefitted staff with a standard 40-hour workweek, primarily works Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional weekend shifts as necessary. Reporting within the President's Vice President area, this role requires a combination of administrative skills, customer service, and operational coordination to meet the university's high standards.
The coordinator serves as the main point of contact for all special event parking needs, handling inquiries through multiple channels including online request forms, emails, and phone communication. Responsibilities include maintaining interdepartmental work orders, monitoring data and systems related to event parking, coordinating the scheduling of frontline staff, and supporting onboarding and offboarding processes for special event personnel. Collaboration with supervisors and departmental leadership ensures alignment with the university's policies and procedures.

- three years related parking enforcement experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience)
- valid Utah driver’s license
- demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills
- must be able to pass a background review

Job Duties
- serve as the primary point of contact to day to day event parking and transportation operations including online requests, emails and phone
- prepare, organize, and maintain interdepartmental work orders
- record, monitor, and verify required data and information into information systems
- scheduling for front line staff in support of event parking
- prepare special reports when needed by either department or university administration
- assist with onboarding and offboarding of special event staff
- interdepartmental collaboration to ensure university and commuter services policy and procedures are being met
- other duties as assigned by manager
