Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
At least two years of relevant ministry experience
Practicing Catholic in good standing
Knowledge of Catholic teachings and USCCB youth ministry documents
Ability to lead prayer and liturgical participation
Ability to plan and facilitate youth events and retreats
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Willingness to comply with Safe Environment protocols
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

Catholic lay ecclesial ministry program preferred
Completion of approved youth ministry certificate program within first year
Minimum of two years of ministry experience
Practicing Catholic in good standing
Knowledge of Catholic doctrine, Scripture, and church teaching
Experience in planning and facilitating youth activities and retreats
Proficiency in English communication
Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
Excellent presentation skills
Successful criminal background check

Job Duties

Develops and coordinates adolescent catechesis programs under the pastor's direction
Advocates for a comprehensive vision of youth ministry based on USCCB documents
Acts as a role model and collaborates with faith community for Catholic youth ministry
Leads group and individual prayer and liturgical participation
Facilitates the Youth Leadership Team for planning and evaluation
Ensures compliance with diocesan Safe Environment Program and background checks
Coordinates recruitment, training, support, and evaluation of youth ministry volunteers
Develops and facilitates courses, retreats, and spiritual presentations
Works with pastor on marketing campaigns, press releases, and event preparation
Assists with parish duties and maintains confidentiality
