The role of Coordinator, North American Operations, is integral to the success of the North American Operations Department at EFW. Reporting directly to the Leader of North American Operations, this position focuses on managing and optimizing transportation and pricing options to deliver exceptional customer service to domestic clients. It requires an individual who can effectively evaluate multiple transportation options based on pricing, timing, availability, volume, and other pertinent metrics, while adhering to company policies and standards. The Coordinator acts as a vital communication bridge between customers, vendors, and the company, especially in resolving disputes and ensuring client satisfaction. The position demands managing multiple priorities seamlessly, working under pressure to meet deadlines, and proactively identifying and resolving shipment risks to guarantee on-time delivery. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as is the ability to interpret and utilize transportation data and software to ensure compliance with TSA regulations and company security protocols.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in related field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics or related field
  • Experience with Dangerous Goods/HAZ-MAT certification desired
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in English
  • Pass drug screen and background check
  • US work authorization without sponsorship

Job Duties

  • Evaluate pricing and transportation options through internal and external suppliers to provide efficient and cost-effective Estes Forwarding service
  • Conduct assignments including evaluating transportation options with frequent management direction
  • Serve as the front-line communicator for customer and vendor disputes, resolve complaints with exceptional customer service
  • Manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Proactively identify shipments at risk of service failure and ensure on-time delivery
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service providers
  • Research all possible routings to utilize the most efficient and cost effective routes
  • Document all shipments with detailed trace notes and accurate data entry
  • Maintain on-time service integrity with a goal of 100 percent on time
  • Be available for 24-hour on call rotation when requested
  • Communicate promptly any issues placing shipments in jeopardy and escalate to management as appropriate
  • Ensure 100 percent compliance with TSA regulations and company security procedures
  • Utilize internet tracking applications for shipment status updates
  • Perform other duties as assigned
