The role of Coordinator, NASCAR Brand Social, based in Charlotte, NC, presents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about social media, content creation, and sports marketing. This position is primarily responsible for the daily management of NASCAR’s official social media channels, including the @NASCAR platform and, when necessary, the O'Reilly Auto Parts and Craftsman Truck Series platforms. The Coordinator will operate at the nexus of strategy and execution, working closely with the Brand and Content teams to ensure NASCAR’s social media presence is engaging, timely, culturally relevant, and reflective of the brand’s voice. Key responsibilities include content planning and publishing, community engagement, monitoring social trends, analytics, tagging, and cross-platform collaboration. This role demands a blend of organizational skills and creative sensibility to maintain a fast-paced, results-driven social media operation.

The Coordinator will manage daily and weekly content calendars, schedule and publish posts, and ensure all content is appropriate, accurate, and optimized for respective platforms. Engaging with fans in real time during race weekends and events is a crucial component of the role, helping to build authentic connections and amplify fan enthusiasm. Additionally, the Coordinator will partner with analytics teams to track content performance, pulling insights to inform ongoing strategy and improve engagement outcomes. The role includes some travel requirements, approximately 20 percent, including weekends, to support live event coverage. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of social media cultures, trends, storytelling, and brand voice, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. They must be comfortable working in a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends during the race season, showcasing passion and dedication to both the sport and the digital community it serves.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in communications marketing or a related field
  • Minimum of three years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in company-provided hardware and software including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of Adobe editing software
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work nights and weekends during race season

  • Strong understanding of social media culture trends and platform best practices

  • Highly organized with attention to detail especially around tagging analytics and reporting accuracy
  • Passion for social media storytelling trends and culture
  • Ability to work nights and weekends during race season

Job Duties

  • Maintain and update daily and weekly content calendars across @NASCAR platforms
  • Schedule and publish content ensuring accuracy in copy tagging and platform best practices
  • Support the Brand Social team with campaign coordination tentpole planning and weekly content execution
  • Monitor fan conversations comments and trends across NASCAR's social platforms
  • Engage with fans in real time responding thoughtfully surfacing opportunities and helping shape NASCAR's voice in the conversation
  • Actively identify and share emerging social trends formats and cultural moments that can be applied to NASCAR in authentic ways
  • Support live coverage and engagement during race weekends and major events
  • Tag content across @NASCAR in analytics platforms to ensure accurate data tracking and performance measurement
  • Partner with Analytics and Insights teams to evaluate performance uncover trends and identify what's driving engagement and reach
  • Use learnings to help inform content strategy and optimize future publishing decisions
  • Support content coordination and scheduling for the O'Reilly Auto Parts and maintain documentation and publishing workflows to maintain organization and efficiencies
  • Travel 20 percent including weekends
