Job Description

Charlotte Football Club is the Major League Soccer club representing the Carolinas. The club is owned by David Tepper and operates under Tepper Sports & Entertainment, a group that also manages Bank of America Stadium and the Carolina Panthers. The role of the Marketing Activation & Events Coordinator is crucial within Charlotte FC’s Marketing department. This full-time exempt position reports directly to the Manager of Marketing Activation and is centered on ensuring the successful planning and execution of both matchday and non-matchday events aimed at engaging the club's diverse fan base across the Carolinas. The Marketing Activation & Events Coordinator acts as a project management lead, responsible for driving various projects and events from conceptualization to execution with strategic cross-functional collaboration. The coordinator plays a significant role in creating best-in-class fan experiences that drive engagement, promote ticket sales, build brand loyalty, and integrate corporate partners. Additionally, the position involves supporting influencer marketing strategies and grassroots initiatives designed to expand the club's reach locally and nationally. As a highly motivated and organized individual, the successful candidate will manage everything from large-scale brand events and viewing parties to grassroots activations and gameday promotions. The role demands someone who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and effective communication skills. By enabling top-tier fan experiences and sustained engagement, the Marketing Activation & Events Coordinator will contribute significantly to Charlotte FC’s goal of becoming one of the most beloved sports brands regionally and globally.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sport management, events, or related field
  • 2-3 years of marketing or events experience
  • valid US driver’s license
  • must pass pre-employment screens
  • strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • willing to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sport management, events, or related field required
  • 2-3 years of marketing or events experience
  • valid US driver’s license
  • account management, event management, and client-facing experience preferred
  • soccer knowledge preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead the planning and execution of club-owned events and fan activations to enhance engagement and ticket sales
  • support the execution of large-scale brand events
  • assist with management of the club-wide event calendar
  • plan and execute viewing parties in collaboration with the Partnerships Marketing team
  • lead matchday fan experience marketing initiatives including pre-match and post-match activations
  • compile and distribute event schedules and recaps
  • collaborate with Partnerships Marketing to execute the official Bar Network program
  • support influencer campaigns and activations
  • assist with intern management
  • execute grassroots activation initiatives
  • collaborate on social campaigns, email marketing, and promotions
  • manage project plans and timelines
  • track and record campaign metrics
  • foster cross-departmental relationships
  • drive campaign performance from ideation to execution
  • develop and evolve fan products, services, and benefits
  • contribute to growing the brand regionally, nationally, and globally
  • perform additional related duties as assigned
