Job Description
Park Vista is a distinguished senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and a supportive environment for older adults. Grounded in values of dignity, collaboration, compassion, and transparency, Park Vista prides itself on honoring the contributions of its residents by offering attentive and personalized services that enable them to live their best years comfortably and joyfully. The community is committed to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere where residents feel valued and families can trust that their loved ones are in good hands. Park Vista fosters a culture where team members make a meaningful difference, reflected in their motto to 'Make It Matter' for the residents, their families, and staff alike.
Park Vista is currently seeking a Full-Time Cook to join its passionate culinary team. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of food service that contribute to residents' well-being and satisfaction. The Cook position offers a full-time day schedule, including every other weekend from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and a competitive wage ranging from $18.00 to $19.50 per hour, factoring in a weekend shift differential. This position requires a dedicated individual who is meticulous about food preparation, presentation, and safety compliance. The successful candidate will prepare high-quality meals by following provided recipes and menus, ensuring that food is appetizingly plated and served safely, and maintaining an organized, clean culinary environment throughout shift operations.
In addition to meal preparation, the Cook will manage inventory adjustments due to unforeseen circumstances, maintain food storage and rotation according to state and local regulations, and participate in temperature checks and necessary documentation to ensure compliance with food safety standards. The Cook also takes on supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Culinary Assistant or Director of Culinary Services, overseeing shift operations such as cleaning logs, garbage control, and adherence to hygiene protocols.
This role is ideal for someone who values working collaboratively in a role that directly impacts the quality of life of senior residents. Team members at Park Vista benefit from a supportive employment environment where their efforts are recognized and rewarded with comprehensive benefits including paid time off, medical, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, and 401k eligibility after one year of service. Joining Park Vista means becoming part of a community devoted to respectful caregiving and excellence in service delivery, where every meal prepared is a step towards enhancing the daily lives of residents and helping them feel truly at home.
