With a strong commitment to conservation and outdoor education, Bass Pro Shops operates large retail locations that feature immersive environments including outdoor-themed restaurants, retail merchandise, and event spaces. One of their newest additions is the White River Conference Center located inside the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, a venue designed to host a variety of events and banquets for guests seeking an exceptional and unique experience.
The role of Banquet Cook at Bass Pro Shops is a vital position within the culinary team responsible for the preparation and presentation of meals served in the banquet space of the White River Conference Center. This position operates in a dynamic environment that demands a solid culinary background, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a strong commitment to exceptional guest service. Banquet Cooks at Bass Pro Shops are scheduled as needed, making it a flexible part-time role suited for individuals with a passion for cooking and banquet operations.
As a Banquet Cook, you will play a key role in food production, ensuring dishes are prepared at the highest quality and consistency. This involves monitoring food preparations, assisting with menu development alongside the Banquet Chef, and guaranteeing immaculate food presentation. You will be part of a team focused on providing guests with memorable culinary experiences through timely and expertly prepared meals. Beyond cooking, this role requires collaboration with front-of-house staff and participation in pre-shift meetings to ensure smooth service operations and effective communication about menu or operational updates.
Physical stamina and an understanding of kitchen operations are crucial for success in this position. The role demands the ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift heavy objects, and maintain a clean and well-organized work environment. Candidates for the Banquet Cook position should also possess basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications as part of the operational responsibilities.
Bass Pro Shops offers more than just a job; they provide employees with an inclusive work culture and benefits that enhance work-life balance even for part-time employees. Among the benefits are dental and vision coverage, voluntary benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, paid holidays and vacations, and access to the Bass Pro Cares Fund, along with other perks such as discounts on retail merchandise, their restaurants, and world-class resorts. Bass Pro Shops is also committed to equal opportunity employment and makes reasonable accommodations to ensure an accessible and supportive workplace for all employees.
If you enjoy working in a fast-paced culinary environment and want to be part of a respected outdoor retail company that values its employees and guests, the Banquet Cook position at Bass Pro Shops offers a rewarding career opportunity with flexibility and room for growth.
