The facility prioritizes creating a positive environment for healing and growth, fostering a team-oriented culture where every staff member plays an integral role in the wellbeing of those they serve. With a focus on both clinical and supportive care, WellBridge of Novi combines compassionate service with professional excellence, making it a preferred employer and healthcare provider in the region.
The role available is for a Chef position within the Epic Culinary team, a vital part of the facility’s food service operation. This opportunity invites culinary professionals who are passionate about using food to bring joy and satisfaction to others. The chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to create innovative and nourishing meals that meet high standards of quality and safety. This position is more than cooking; it involves a dedication to excellence, creativity in recipe development, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. It is ideal for culinary experts who love the challenge of transforming common ingredients into exciting dishes and who take pride in contributing to the wellbeing and happiness of others through exceptional food service.
This role offers a competitive hourly wage starting between $17.00 and $19.00 per hour, with additional hero pay of $0.85 per hour. There is potential to earn up to $19.85 per hour based on experience and performance. The position includes both full-time and part-time shifts with a rotating schedule that covers weekends and some holidays, primarily focusing on morning shifts. Employees in this role can anticipate a supportive work environment with opportunities for career advancement, tuition reimbursement up to $5000 annually, company-paid short-term disability and life insurance, unlimited referral bonuses, and a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and telemedicine services.
As a Chef at WellBridge of Novi, you will ensure that all meals are prepared following strict portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies. The responsibilities include meal preparation coordinating with serving times to maintain optimal quality, assisting with tray line setup and plate assembly, and maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas. Importantly, the role demands excellent customer service skills, fostering hospitality, and cultivating a positive atmosphere for patients, their families, and visitors. The ideal candidate possesses at least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity within hospital or medical facility settings, emphasizing both culinary expertise and attentive service.
