Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- good communication skills in English both reading and speaking
- strong interpersonal skills
- current Food Handler's Permit from Kansas City, MO, Independence, Jackson County, or Clay County or willing to get one within 30 days of hire
- ability to follow recipes, scale portions, and operate large kitchen equipment
- physical ability to handle the demands of a busy kitchen, including lifting and carrying hot containers

Job Duties
- Prepare meals from standardized recipes for patients, residents, staff, and visitors
- operate large kitchen equipment like ovens, mixers, steamers, and more safely and confidently
- use portion scales, measure ingredients, and ensure food consistency and quality
- follow all food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
- communicate with the kitchen team and supervisors to keep meal service smooth and on time
- lift, twist, bend, and move containers of hot food
