Job Description

EPOCH Senior Living is a distinguished provider of senior living communities, known for its commitment to delivering exceptional care and a luxury experience to seniors throughout the Northeast. Founded in 1997, EPOCH Senior Living operates a network of premier communities, including Bridges by EPOCH, which is renowned as New England's largest stand-alone memory care assisted living provider. Bridging compassionate care with innovative programs, Bridges by EPOCH at Cook offers specialized support designed to enhance the quality of life for seniors facing memory challenges, including those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. This community stands out for its warm, family-like atmosphere and dedicated staff who are passionate about making a positive difference in residents' lives. With a focus on purpose-driven work culture, EPOCH Senior Living prides itself on creating an environment where team members feel valued, creative, connected, and inspired to grow both personally and professionally. Working at EPOCH means being part of a team that honors the generation before us through compassionate service, teamwork, and respect, all while fostering an upbeat, friendly workplace that supports work-life balance and well-being.

The current opening at Bridges by EPOCH at Cook is for a Cook position, a temporary, part-time role offering 24 to 32 hours per week, with no late-night shifts – making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work hours. The pay rate is competitive at $22.00 per hour. This position is focused on food preparation and culinary services tailored to senior residents, with a strong emphasis on kitchen safety protocols and delivering high-quality meals that contribute to residents' health and satisfaction. The role requires hands-on preparation of a la carte meals and other kitchen duties, performed in a supportive, team-oriented environment. It is especially suited for candidates with culinary experience, preferably with some background in assisted living, hotel, club, or fine dining settings. Certification in ServSafe and proficiency in English are mandatory to ensure safety and effective communication in the kitchen.

EPOCH Senior Living supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package for full-time team members, including medical, dental, vision plans, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and retirement plans with company matches, among others. Even part-time employees can benefit from paid time off, sick leave, paid holidays, and other perks that promote a healthy work-life balance. Bridges by EPOCH also promotes a culture of growth, offering training, certification reimbursement, and incentives like referral bonuses. The workplace is inclusive, valuing diversity and prohibiting discrimination on any legal grounds.

If you have a genuine passion for making life healthier and happier for seniors and want to be part of a compassionate, energetic team, then Bridges by EPOCH at Cook invites you to apply. This role provides meaningful work where every day offers the chance to leave a lasting positive impact on the lives of seniors. Join EPOCH Senior Living and be part of a community where teamwork, respect, and dedication create rewarding experiences for residents and staff alike.
