The Cook role at Legends Global offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to culinary excellence in an exciting environment. Opening in the 2026 NFL season, the new Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NY, will become the home of the Buffalo Bills and the largest construction project in Western New York history. The stadium will feature state-of-the-art technology enhancing fan experience and creating a dynamic workplace for individuals in hospitality and culinary services. The Cook is responsible for producing all assigned menu items in an efficient, consistent manner while strictly following Legends’ specifications, recipes, techniques, and maintaining high sanitation standards. This role requires an individual who is self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work extended hours during stadium events including late nights, weekends, and holidays. Cooks will handle diverse food preparation tasks, maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas, uphold strict food safety standards including HACCP, and work closely with the executive chef and culinary supervisors to ensure seamless operation. A competitive salary range of $17-$20 per hour is offered, commensurate with experience, reflecting Legends Global’s commitment to attracting and retaining top culinary talent. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous culinary experience
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to perform kitchen tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to obtain required food safety and alcohol certifications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must adhere to uniform and grooming standards
- Ability to maintain sanitary conditions in food preparation areas
Job Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Strong attention to detail
- ServSafe Allergens and Food Handler preferred or ability to attain required food safety certifications prior to working events
- Elevated time management, organizational, and prioritizing skills
- Previous culinary experience required
- Basic knife skills and kitchen equipment knowledge
- Ability to attain required alcohol and food safety certifications prior to working events
- Able to be self-motivated and work independently or as a team player
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
- Ability to lift and transport food items weighing up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for all stadium events
- Must be able to work extended hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Practice safe work habits and follow all safety policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Follows executive chef, sous chefs and/or culinary supervisors/leads assignments for opening and closing procedures and food preparation
- Prepares food items by complying with portion size, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and procedures
- Maintains HACCP standards ensuring a high-quality level of food, food temperatures, rotation of product, cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Maintains cleanliness of kitchen including walk-in coolers, dry storage, shelves, walls, floors and drains
- Ensures all food preparation equipment is clean, sanitized, and kept in a safe and operable condition
- Identifies and stores meats, poultry, seafood, pasta, starches, dairy products, and all other food items according to established standards
- Participates as a team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation, excellent service and delivery of products
- Maintains a pleasant attitude towards customers, co-workers, and management
- Adheres to the Legends uniform and grooming guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
