Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- willingness to train with no prior experience required
- at least one year of culinary experience in a quality and high volume kitchen preferred
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to maintain high standards of sanitation
- ability to work onsite full-time
- reliable and punctual
- ability to perform under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Experience supervising a team
- culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
- complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
- excellent attention to detail
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- food handlers certification preferred
- friendly and helpful customer service skills
Job Duties
- Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation
- ensuring meal services begin on time
- ensuring that portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality
- supervising team members to maintain efficiency and adherence to standards
- managing workflow in a fast-paced correctional dining environment
- monitoring food safety and hygiene compliance
- providing friendly and helpful customer service
